Classical and Acoustic Guitar Teacher

Classical and Acoustic Guitar Teacher

To start September 2022

We're looking to appoint an enthusiastic guitar teacher to join the successful Musica Kirklees team. There are currently 10 hours of teaching per week available, teaching in schools in the Kirklees area.

Additionally, there will be an opportunity to increase these hours through pupil recruitment which would
then lead to additional small group/individual lessons and Whole Class Ensemble Teaching. For new teachers,
we would provide up to 15 hours of paid recruitment over the year, as directed by your line manager.

A passion for widening access to music for all children, a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and
proven track record of excellence, a vision for inspiring more young people to learn to play an instrument and
the ability to motivate young people to achieve their potential are all essential.

This position includes Friday evening music centre and will be hourly paid £25.84 per contact hour (plus
teachers’ pension).

A full driving licence and access to transport are desirable for this role, however, if an applicant does not hold
a driving licence due to a disability but is otherwise suitable for the role, Musica Kirklees is committed to
making reasonable adjustments to the timetable and your application will still be considered.

Application forms are available from Niki Matthews (PA to the Principal), Musica Kirklees, 9 Beast Market,
Huddersfield, HD1 1QF.

Email: niki.matthews@musicakirklees.org

Closing date for applications: 10pm Thursday the 14th of July 2022

Provisional interview date: Interviews will be held shortly after the above closing date
