Oakwell Hall’s walled garden becomes the wonderland for Alice’s adventures when Chapterhouse Theatre Company presents Lewis Carroll’s classic tale on Wednesday, 15 August.
The outdoor theatre company invites the audience to take a trip down the rabbit hole and join in ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’ as she stumbles into a magical world with a host of colourful characters, including White Rabbit, the madcap Mad Hatter and the terrifying Queen of Hearts.
Presented in beautiful Victorian costume and alive with song, dance and original music, this production promises to delight the whole family.
The performance starts at 7.30pm but the gardens will be open for viewing and picnics from 6.30pm. Audience members are encouraged to bring rugs or low-backed chairs and picnics. Refreshments will be available during the interval.
Tickets are priced £15 adult, £12 senior citizen, £10 child/student, £46 family (two adults and two children) and can be booked at Oakwell Hall Visitor Centre, Nova Lane, Birstall, or by telephoning 01924 324761. Booking is essential due the popularity of Chapterhouse Theatre’s performances.
