&Piano Music Festival 2020 Instrumental Event

&Piano Music Festival 2020 Instrumental Event

Owing to some unfortunate technical difficulties and problems we experienced during the live-stream, we're delighted to re-release a better quality version of our instrumental event.

&Piano is an organisation that celebrates emerging and established talent with a connection to the North of England, promoting classical music and encouraging the region to engage and connect with live music. In light of the difficult situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, &Piano offers two short online performances featuring local musicians - all of whom have been affected by the pandemic and the restrictions imposed on the performing arts - to mark what would have been our 2020 Festival.

We present a special online series of events to mark what would have been it's 3rd annual festival of music in September, held in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Tom Greed (Violin), Polly Virr (Cello) and Chris Pulleyn (Piano) come together to present a short but powerful programme of music by Ryuichi Sakamoto, Dmitri Shostakovich, Zenobia Powell Perry and Ludwig Van Beethoven, reflecting on the seismic events that have happened during 2020, with introductions by the performers about all the music performed.
