Hours: 21 hours per week (flexible but including some evening and weekend working)

Employment status: Temporary, Part Time (1 x pt 06 and 1 x pt 04)

Required from January 2012 until December 2014 Play Torbay is seeking to appoint two Community Play Development workers to support, develop and coordinate the innovative and exciting 3 Bay Ventures project. Working with local communities around the adventure play areas in Hele, Torquay and Blatchcombe, Paignton the new workers will encourage greater participation in play and community-based recreation.

You will require:
- Sound knowledge and experience of community engagement and development
- Sound knowledge and experience of play and playwork
- Good organisational skills and project development experience
- Good communication and liaison skills
- Experience of promoting and facilitating inclusive play and meeting the needs of disabled children
- Experience of developing nature play including forest skills, bushcraft, design and build
- Experience of children’s participation and consultation
- An enhanced disclosure (police check) will be required because the post holder will have access to vulnerable groups.
