Volunteer Opportunity - Educational Visits

Volunteer Opportunity - Educational Visits

Helping to host activities on site to groups of up to 30 children at a time, the usual day for this runs from 10.00am-14.00pm with a half an hour lunch break in between. This could also include visits to schools with our Stone Age artefact box, traveling to schools all over Devon and hosting hour long activities or presentations on themes such as the Stone Age and The English Riviera Geopark.

All volunteers will be chosen through a selection process. The ideal volunteers will be confident, friendly and enthusiastic. They will be able to work as part of a team as well as independently from time to time and be able to interact with members of the public in a suitable manner.

Once selected, all volunteers will be provided with the appropriate training for their roles as well as the health and safety training required for working on and off site.

Volunteers with the Kents Cavern Foundation, having satisfied certain qualifying criteria will receive:

Free parking in the Kents Cavern car park,

10% discount in the shop and restaurant,

Free entry to Kents Cavern for themselves + 10% discount for guests on daytime heritage tours.
