Charcoal Column.

Charcoal Column.

This is one of my conceptualisation drawings. I intend to cast a life model in alginate and then replicate her form in a plaster suitable for exterior use. Using another mould, cast the fluted column that surrounds her form. The next stage will be to chisel out the smooth plaster that will exist in the ellipse, creating a dejected frame for my model to be braking away from. Finally I will design and carve into the shaft a series of cracks emphasising that escape from the mould.
