Images of South Devon will help raise vital funds for hospice

For the third consecutive year, Rowcroft and the renowned Shoal of Brixham Artists have joined together to create another beautiful calendar to raise vital funds for the hospice.

Hannah Simmons, Community Fundraising Manager said:

‘Following two very successful years of Rowcroft’s partnership with the Shoal of Brixham Artists we are delighted that once again this local, talented group have generously donated more stunning images for use in our 2010 calendar. The diversity of styles and locations and the amazing quality of each artwork has produced a fantastic calendar. The hospice is incredibly grateful for their continued support.’

The Shoal, based in Brixham has generously donated images of South Devon to create Rowcroft Hospice’s 2010 calendar. The collective of artists all have their individual styles and work in a variety of mediums – pastels, inks, watercolours, oils and photography.

Nicky Stevenson, Chairman of the Shoal of Brixham Artists comments:

‘We are very proud of the 2010 calendar and equally as proud to be working with our local hospice. Many of us have seen first hand the work of Rowcroft and could not think of a worthier cause to support. The calendar has proved to be extremely popular over the last two years and we hope once again to raise substantial funds.’

Artists who have contributed to the calendar are Julia Finzel, Chris Slack, Nicky Stevenson, Monica Gamble, Lynne Peets, John Gillo and Pru Preston.

The calendar is available from all Rowcroft Hospice shops, The Slack Stevenson Gallery, Middle Street, Brixham and Friends of Rowcroft events and is priced at £4.50. The aim of the calendar is to raise vital funds for the local charity who care for people in South Devon living with life limiting illnesses.
