LOCAL DANCERS NEEDED

Situations are looking for local dancers to work with International Choreographer Ingri Fiksdal as part of The Tale. This is an exciting opportunity for dancers, performers and movers to be part of large scale dance performance in Brixham.

Commitment:
Rehearsals: June 22nd 5 – 7pm & June 24th 10am – 5pm
Rehearsals: September 4th, 5th, 6th 5pm – 7pm
Performances: September: 8th - 10th 15th -17th, 22nd -24th 4pm – 7:30pm

About Ingri Fiksdal

Ingri Midgard Fiksdal works as a choreographer and is currently a research fellow at The Oslo National Academy of the Arts (Norwegian Artistic Research Program).
Her work deals with perception and affect, and she places equal emphasis on sound, light, choreography, costume and set-design within a performance. The audience is always integral to the performances, which aim to create the potential for immersion to occur.

A JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY ACROSS TORBAY
The Tale is a new type of arts event is coming to South Devon this September. The Tale will guide you on a journey of discovery around the coastal area of Torbay – from the streets of Torquay, through hidden coves and historic harbours, to the quarry of Berry Head Nature Reserve. Along the way, you’ll encounter artworks and performances by artists of international acclaim, made especially for Torbay.
The Tale will take place over three long weekends in September: 8-10 Sept, 15-17 Sept, 22-24 Sept 2017.
