Festival Producer - Ageing Well Festival 2015

Fee: £2100
Contract duration: End of August – beginning of October 2015

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Festival Producer, with the ability to hit the ground running and co-ordinate.

This will be a key role in the overall management and delivery of a brand new festival celebrating ageing in Torbay. This is an excellent opportunity to guide a unique programme of events and work with a host of exciting local partnerships.
It is expected that a full programme of innovative events, workshops, and activities will be finalised and published in mid-August; the Festival Producer will be expected to take ownership over this programme and manage the logistics of festival delivery. It is crucial that this person is available on the dates of the festival (Thursday 1 – Sunday 4 October 2015).

The producer will be managed and supported by the Creative Development Co-Ordinator and the Festival Steering Group.

Responsibilities:
• Budget management and reporting
• Central point of contact for all festival partners and festival support team
• Ensure that all events are adhering to the Ageing Well Festival ethos and are to a high standard
• Ensure that health and safety standards, risk assessments, necessary events licenses, and appropriate event management/stewarding are in place for all festival events
• Organise regular update meetings with the Creative Development Co-Ordinator and Festival Steering Group
• Support the publicity and promotion of the Ageing Well Festival
• Support the recruitment and management of any Festival volunteers
• Be on the ground for the duration of the Ageing Well Festival (Thurs 1 – Sun 4 October) to oversee the smooth running of key events and to act as the overall Festival Manager.
