Torbay Music Hub - Strategy Board Chairperson

The Torbay Music Education Hub Strategy Board is seeking a new Chairperson, with a background in business/finance to provide direction and support to the Board and to partners, who carry out the work of Torbay Music Education Hub - a partnership of organisations and schools led by Torbay Council.
The Hub aims to deliver the requirements of the National Plan for Music Education (2011). These include instrumental tuition, choral and singing opportunities, group music making opportunities, routes for young people to progress to the highest possible level of musical achievement, support and training for schools and teachers, high-level performances opportunities, work with professional musicians and instrument hire.
The Board meets twice each term, usually at Oldway Primary school. Meetings generally last for a maximum of two hours and a time commitment of one day per month on average is estimated.
Term of office: Beginning in September 2018 for a term of three years.
