'THE LOST CITY OF Z' FILM SCREENING AS PART OF EXPLORER SEASON

Saturday 13th January, 2pm

As part of the Explorer Season, combine a special afternoon film screening of 'The Lost City of Z' within a unique Grade 2 listed museum setting and a visit to the Explorers Gallery to view props used in the film.

'The Lost City of Z' starring Charlie Hunnam, Robert Pattinson and Siena Millar, is the incredible true story of Torquay born, explorer Colonel Percy Fawcett. At the dawn of the 20th century, Fawcett journeys into the Amazon in search of a lost city. His quest grows into an increasingly feverish, decades-long obsession that takes a toll on his reputation, his family life, and his very existence.
Within the Explorers Gallery at Torquay Museum there is a permanent archive collection of objects belonging to Fawcett including diaries, letters, photographs and memorabilia, donated by his granddaughter.

This is a fundraising event for Torquay Museum. Tickets cost £5 and are available from reception at Torquay Museum either in person or over the phone. A 50% discount is available for museum entry ticket when purchasing a ticket for this event..
