On Friday 3rd August we will be handing over our Twitter feed to Teenagers !!!
Since 2014, Kids in Museums has been running Teen Twitter Takeover- a day which allows teenagers across the UK to make their voices heard by taking control of Museum Twitter feeds.
Last year, almost 70 museum Twitter handles were taken over by more than 300 young people.
As a result, around 300,000 people saw posts by our amazing teenage tweeters and takeover day was trending across the UK.
Teen Twitter Takeover empowers teenagers and gives them a platform to engage with museums, heritage sites, archives,libraries and art and science centres across the UK.
The day provides an opportunity for young people to talk to their peers across the country and gain experience with museums and their collections.
It helps Museums to see their collections in a new light and better understand their younger audiences.
