Flauti d'Echo: Awake, Thou Wintry Earth

Flauti d'Echo: Awake, Thou Wintry Earth

A concert to inspire thoughts of spring from deep in the winter! Exciting recorder duo Tabea Debus and Olwen Foulkes are joined by theorbo player Toby Carr in a programme which takes music from Monteverdi and Purcell to Vivaldi and Handel arranged for recorders. The duo won the Nancy Nuttal Early Music Prize for Chamber music at the Royal Academy of Music in 2016, were participants on the BREMF Live! Scheme 2017-18, and have already performed in venues including the Wigmore Hall, St. John’s Smith Square, and Somerset House. They regularly perform as soloists and have each released solo albums. Here are two young players who are definitely going places!

This is the fourth concert in the 2018/19 season from Totnes Early Music Society. Advance tickets £13, under 18s £5, available from the Dartington Box Office (01803 847070) and website (boxoffice@dartington.org). On the door £14/£5. Doors open 7pm, concert starts 7.30pm
