Guitar workshop (Fall into Autumn Virtual Festival)

Charlotte Carrivick is a gifted multi-instrumentalist and acclaimed guitarist with UK bluegrass sensations Midnight Skyracer, among her many projects. Her workshop will look at the flatpicking technique used in bluegrass and how to play fiddle tunes on the acoustic guitar.

PLEASE NOTE - the workshop will be conducted online via Zoom and a link will be emailed out to all participants. You do not need a Zoom account set up beforehand; just use our link to join in. Join the event between 1.45pm and 2pm. Workshop will run from 2pm to 3.15pm.

Talented multi-instrumentalist (guitar, mandolin, clawhammer banjo, fiddle) Charlotte Carrivick has been performing since a very young age and has been a fixture on the UK folk and bluegrass scenes for well over a decade, touring and recording with her projects The Carrivick Sisters (2010 BBC Young Folk Awards finalists), Midnight Skyracer (International Bluegrass Music Association Momentum Award nominees), Cardboard Fox and her duo with fiddler Kieran Towers. Charlotte is an experienced tutor and has taught both individual and group lessons for many years.

Part of True North Music's Fall into Autumn Virtual Festival, which also includes workshops in songwriting and percussive dance, and two live streamed concerts featuring some of the finest Americana, bluegrass and folk/roots artists, free to access on YouTube and Facebook Live.
