Molly Tuttle + Rachel Baiman (USA) in concert at Meltham

A special double-bill concert by two exquisitely talented young American musicians. Molly Tuttle is a phenomenal guitarist and banjo player, songwriter and singer, originally from California and now based in Nashville. A bluegrass prodigy since her teens, more recently Molly has gained growing recognition as a creative artist and songwriter, touring with her own band and with The Goodbye Girls. Earlier this year she won the IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) Guitar Player of the Year Award, the first woman ever to do so. Rachel Baiman is an impressively talented fiddle player, multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter best known for her duo 10 String Symphony, and has toured worldwide. Her recent solo release Shame has garnered a great deal of critical acclaim.

True North Music puts on concerts in Huddersfield, Holmfirth and Sheffield, specialising in world class folk and roots, bluegrass and Americana. The community- owned Carlile Institute in Meltham is the perfect setting for intimate gigs. There is full accessibility with a modern lift as well as the original grand staircase, parking directly behind the venue and bus service direct to the door.

Doors 7:30pm, concert from 8pm. There will be a licensed bar. Our Carlile Institute concerts always sell out in advance, so don't miss out!
