Drypoint – Taster Session – June

This session will introduce you to the technique of drypoint, an ‘intaglio’ printmaking process, where a sharp tool is used to scratch marks into the surface of a perspex plate, and a print is taken from ink which is held within these marks. Learners will be guided through the process of plate making, inking and printing in the traditional intaglio way.

Our new taster sessions offer an introduction to some of the key printmaking techniques offered and practiced here at WYPW, and a glimpse into the processes involved in creating hand-made prints. You will be guided and encouraged by experienced artists who use printmaking in their own art practice, in a professionally equipped workshop setting.
