'The Alternative Dawn Chorus Day'

South Devon AONB and Encounters Arts, with partners, local groups and communities have a wide range of creative outdoor events on offer for you this spring. Explore what makes the Kingswear and Brixham peninsula so very special. There will be stories to tell, trails to follow, maps to write, discoveries to make and music, food, and celebration. Many of these events are free thanks to funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund

Visual artist and host Shelley Castle, is the Encounters Artist leading the Routeways and Connections project and all Encounters events will be delivered by her in collaboration with different partners and practitioners.

Sunday 3rd May 4.45am prompt start at Mansands Car Park
Encounters Arts
Take part in an early morning yoga session and lead an outdoor salute to the sunrise as it climbs over the fields and sea, followed by a silent appreciation of birdsong and a bbq breakfast on Mansands Beach. Just come along with your mat, outdoor clothes and shoes, water and binoculars if you have them. Some previous experience of yoga is useful but if you are drawn to the event and have no experience do please feel free to come anyway. The beach is an easy 15 minute walk from the carpark.
Yoga will be led by Local teacher Victoria Campbell
This is a free event: Meet at Mansands car park, Nr Woodhuish.
