Whaletone is an imaginatively created, funny, dynamic and adventurous piece of music theatre. The story involves banana cake, plum blossom remedies, a storm, a wedding, a Jamaican cow and a hippopotamus!

The piece is in four acts, performed over four days for the first time in the UK. You can choose to see just one act or follow the whole story.

Sunday 10 October, 5:00pm – Studio 6
Act One – promenade performance by students of South West Music School and dancers from The Place, London

Friday 15 October, 7:00pm – Great Hall
Act Two – performed by students from Aveton Gifford, East Allington, Loddiswell, West Alvington Primary Schools

Saturday 16 October, 7:00pm – Studio 30
Act Three – promenade performance by students from South West Music School and the Sage Gateshead Weekend School

Sunday 17 October, 7:00pm – Great Hall & Courtyard
Act Four – Community Performance

BE A PERFORMER
There are also opportunities for families with children aged 8yrs or over to take part in Act 4. No experience necessary, but if you play an instrument feel free to bring it along. Created and led by Hugh Nankivell and Makoto Nomura and first performed at the Ezuko Hall in Japan, this is your opportunity to be part of a special UK premiere. Children must be accompanied by an adult who will join in too!
