“A violinist in a million…staggering virtuosity and unparalleled musicianship.” The Glasgow Herald

The acclaimed British violinist Madeleine Mitchell returns to Dartingon to give an effervescent programme of British and Russian works, which are warm, lyrical and virtuosic. In particular it’s a chance to hear relative rarities: violin pieces by the early 20th century composers Frank Bridge and Herbert Howells.

Madeleine has played at the Wigmore Hall, for the BBC Proms and has recently toured Russia; she has played with major orchestras such as the St Petersburg Philharmonic, Polish Radio Symphony, Czech Radio Symphony, Württemburg and Munich Chamber orchestras, Orchestra de Bahia Brazil, the Royal Philharmonic and other London orchestras.

She is partnered for this concert by the exciting young Romanian pianist and prizewinner, Florian Mitrea.
