Public Talk: What Meditation Really Is

Public Talk: What Meditation Really Is

7.30pm
Tickets £8/Over 60s £8/Concessions, Students and Under 16s £6

In the first of his evening talks, Ringu Tulku Rinpoche will look at how Meditation and the modern secular idea of Mindfulness have become incredibly popular in recent years in schools, hospitals, workplaces and in all walks of life. However it is not always easy to understand the heart of meditation and increasingly there are debates about what meditation really is. In this Public Talk, Ringu Tulku will explore practical and accessible ideas about bringing meditation directly and authentically into all of experience.

Speaking fluent English, Ringu Tulku is renowned for his ability to present his profound knowledge and experience of the Dharma in a pragmatic and accessible way for Westerners. He is very familiar with the problems that many of us face trying to bring the spirit of meditation into our busy, stressful and complex modern lives.

Ringu Tulku Rinpoche was born in Eastern Tibet in 1952. Since 1990, he has been travelling and teaching Buddhism and meditation in universities, institutes and Buddhist centres around the world.

This is the first of two evening talks by Ringu Tulku. The talks are open to everyone and you are welcome to come to either one or both.
In support of Rigul Trust.
