Best of Brass Concert

Trumpet virtuoso Mike Lovatt and the fabulous Fodens Band headline our Best of Brass Concert which of course also features Amersham Band. Following our highly successful joint concert with Brighouse and Rastrick Band last summer, we decided to go a step further and add a top soloist together with a championship level band.

Fodens Band is one of the leading brass bands in the world winning a rare and exceptional “Double”, being crowned 2012 British Open champions and the 2012 National Champions of Great Britain. The band have also won numerous awards for various cd releases and regularly appear on BBC TV and Radio.

Mike Lovatt has played on movie soundtracks including James Bond and Harry Potter films and the award winning Chicago. Mike is the lead trumpet of the BBC Big Band and principal trumpet with the Grammy Nominated John Wilson Orchestra featuring in their celebrated BBC promenade concerts and recordings.

With such a distinguished line-up of performers this concert is sure to live up to the title “Best of Brass”.

The Concert will be held at the Barbirolli Hall, St Clement Danes School on Sunday 18 June at 3pm.

Tickets are available from our box office and are priced at £17.50 Adult and £10 Child (under 16)
