TOADS latest production 'WHY ME?'

Director Jef Pirie has brought Stanley Hope's all to familiar tale of redundancy and rejection to the Little Theatre stage in Torquay. The production has been given a modern twist as it introduces us to middle aged engineering consultant John Bailey recently redundant and struggling to come to terms with constant job rejections, the break up of his marriage and shattering revelations about his son. To add to the poor man's misery his wife's business is hugely successful and he has to put up with constant interference from a very demanding mother-in-law who refuses to stay in her adjoining granny flat. There are some tender and very thought provoking moments in this play as well as humour. Why Me? is a play to listen to, reflect upon and most importantly - thoroughly enjoy.
