Tapestry : Workshop

Weft, warp and wedge - the language of tapestry conjures an ancient magic. Master Weaver Caron Penney will lead this beginners workshop on small ready-warped frames. Develop a clear understanding of the basic structure and materials used in the art of woven tapestry, and an overview of the key techniques. Make a selection of finished woven samples and be encouraged to find individual ways of producing woven tapestry in the future. Includes tour and artisan lunch. Please note, this course teaches the art of Tapestry Weaving, not Cross Stitching.
