Drawing for Wellbeing workshop

Drawing for Wellbeing workshop

With artist Kay Aitch:

This workshop is being run in conjunction with my exhibition Observation and Imagination at the Creative Arts Hub in Mirfield.

Many people are now becoming aware of the link between creativity and well-being which I believe is enhanced through creative observational drawing, beacause like Mindfulness it encourages observation without judgement. Too often people are put off drawing because they worry about not drawing correctly or inacuratley, but really it's the observation which is important, the concentration, being in the moment, and then learning to allow the creative part of the brain the freedom to respond.

Drawing is important to my well-being and I run workshops to help other people find a route to their own creativity through drawing.

This FREE workshop will provide practical opportunities to experience some of the techniques I teach and to develop drawing skills while also allowing the creative part of your brain to flourish.

The workshop would be of interest to adults with any level of drawing ability or none; people interested in Mindfulness and well-being and those interested in finding the benefits of creative activities.

Materials & refreshments will be provided.
