Vacancy short description: Longcombe Labels require a Print Production Apprentice to join their busy company based outside Paignton in Devon. The apprentice will work full-time for the company in the print and finishing area of the business, working hands on to gain knowledge of the processes and machinery utilised in label manufacture. Vacancy full description: The apprentice will work towards a Print Production Apprenticeship with Plymouth College of Art. This will be delivered via onsite assessments and monthly attendance at taught sessions at Plymouth College of Art. Skills required: You will work closely with a team of production staff and as such it is essential that you have excellent team working and communication skills. Personal qualities: Successful candidates will be practical, with a keen eye for detail and an appreciation of the importance of quality and consistency. As you will be working with machinery, an understanding of the need for safe working practices is essential. Exceeds Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (£2.50 per hour) Expected duration: 18 months Training to be provided: You will work towards a Print & Printed Packaging Apprenticeship with Plymouth College of Art. In work you will develop a range of skills and knowledge and produce a portfolio of evidence supported by visits from an assessor. The knowledge units will be delivered in Plymouth, one day per month. You may also be required to study Key Skills in literacy, numeracy and ICT, depending on prior attainment.
