Founded in 1836, the Huddersfield Choral Society has developed an international reputation as one of the UK's leading choral societies. The Society's busy schedule, including the work of Junior choirs which were formed in 1986, is centred on its own subscription concert season in Huddersfield Town Hall. The choir also performs in other major concert venues in the UK and abroad, it regularly broadcasts for BBC radio and television, and has a long history of pioneering recordings.

We are now seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Board of Trustees in all aspects of the running of the choir.

The Role

Reporting to the Choir’s General Secretary, the Administrative Assistant will have overall responsibility in a number of areas support to this busy choir including membership matters, concert planning and management for both Huddersfield concerts and engagements further afield, booking of rehearsal venues, chorus masters and accompanists. You will be responsible for database management of all the choirs databases and for the maintenance and updating of the choir’s website. The post will also provide secretariat support to the choir’s management committee and to individual officers as required.

Salary Range: £20-25k
Terms: The post is full-time (36 hrs per week) and is based in Wakefield.
