Education Services Manager, Music and the Deaf
Music and the Deaf is a registered charity, based in Halifax, West Yorkshire that seeks to provide the highest quality music activities for deaf and hard of hearing people of all ages. The charity is currently the leader in its field – a unique charity in the UK and probably in the world – and seeks to retain this position. The charity wishes to further develop and expand music-making opportunities for deaf people and will do this through partnerships and working effectively with arts, education and deaf organisations and departments.
Music and the Deaf are now looking for a full time Education Services Manager to join their small team with the principal purpose of providing the link between the charity and the education sector. This will involve you working with a range of organisations, leading workshops, giving talks and presentations, developing awareness and activity within the sector for the services on offer, creating a national and international training programme using e-learning tools and pioneering new partnerships, projects and exciting collaborations. You will provide support to the Artistic Director, liaising with and supporting the team to update resources and create a sustainable income stream through client and project management as well as researching and seeking funding opportunities for the charity.
If you have a real interest in the arts and for music, have a strong music education background to degree level or equivalent and a teaching qualification and experience, an up to date clean enhanced DBS check, a creative self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude who can get results, with a good sense of humour, excellent social skills and the ability to see the potential in MatD and unleash it, then they would like to hear from you.
Full time: 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: £27,000
