Film to encourage students to take creative subjects at GCSE

Creative Journeys have made a new film to help young people around the country who are choosing options for GCSE and to help encourage them to find information about routes into careers in the creative industries.

In January, the latest official figures showed that the creative industries now contribute a massive £84.1billion a year to the economy, providing 2.8 million jobs and confirming the UK’s position as no.1 in the world for creativity.

To make the case to young people in years 8 & 9, and to their parents and teachers, that creative subjects at GCSE will help them make their first steps into further study and creative careers, Creative Journeys have made this short film, highlighting the exciting variety of creative careers and encouraging them to embark on their own

Help spread the word by sharing the film with your friends and colleagues and telling Creative Journeys about your own route into a creative career, using the hashtag #CreativeJourneys.
