Light Night Leeds is recruiting for this year's festival in October - see below for information from Light Night Leeds on the various roles.

Light Night Leeds is a multi-arts and light festival which takes over Leeds City centre for two nights in early October. Now in its 13th year, Light Night has become a key event in the city’s cultural calendar. With over 40 events taking place across 10 zones, the city comes alive with a range of spectacular projections, installations, dance and street theatre. Fundraising and Sponsorship Co-ordinator – SO1 (£25,951 to £27,668 (pro-rata)
The fundraising and sponsorship co-ordinator will develop new partnerships and create sponsorship and funding opportunities for Light Night Leeds.
The successful candidate will devise, co-ordinate and deliver specific fundraising and sponsorship activities for Light Night Leeds, such as organising events, arranging business meetings and networking sessions. They will develop a sponsorship portfolio with a range of packages and opportunities across all aspects of the event, involving the creative use of marketing material.

Production Co-ordinator - SO1 - £25,951 to £27,668 (pro-rata)
We are looking for a small pool of people to co-ordinate the production elements of events for the Arts, Venues and Events team. The successful candidates will have experience or working on both small and large scale public events, including outdoor events. The role will include event management, writing event manuals, overseeing event and production staff, booking logistics and liaising with artists. The candidates will need a good working knowledge of staging, lighting, sound and power systems, and an excellent working knowledge of event Health and Safety.
This is a casual role that will include working on events as and when required. Events that need a Production Co-ordinator include Light Night Leeds on 5th and 6th October. (This will include part-time work from August to October, equivalent of three days a week, paid on an hourly basis, days/times can be flexible. The role will be full time the week of Light Night Leeds).

Creative Producer - B1 - £16,491 to £17,772 (pro rata)
We are looking for a Creative Producer to design, co-ordinate and event manage specific events for the Arts, Venues and Events team, including outdoor events for Light Night Leeds. The role will include liaising with artists, production management staff, volunteers and the public to devise, promote and deliver events. This will include organising creative participatory events for the public to take part in. The Creative Producer will also manage small budgets and promote events by creating content for press releases, event websites and social media channels.
Light Night Leeds requires a Creative Producer to work part-time (equivalent of three days a week, paid on an hourly basis, days/times can be flexible) from July to mid-October on the lantern parade and street entertainment programme, and there may also be opportunities to work on other events throughout the year.
This role is funded by Arts Council England and we are looking to support an emerging producer at the beginning of their career. The role may suit a recent graduate.

Volunteer Co-ordinator - B1 - £16,491 to £17,772 (pro rata)
We are looking for Volunteer Co-ordinators for the Arts, Venues and Events team. The role will involve identifying, recruiting and co-ordinating large numbers of volunteers for events including Light Night Leeds, Leeds International Film Festival and Leeds Young Film Festival. You will be expected to develop a volunteer recruitment strategy, liaise with universities, colleges and arts organisations to recruit volunteers, create and schedule volunteer rotas, organise and run volunteer training sessions, ensure a high quality volunteer offer and create a positive volunteer experience.
This is a casual role that will include working on events as and when required.
We require one volunteer co-ordinator per event. Events that currently need a Volunteer Co-ordinator include Light Night Leeds (5th and 6th October, with part-time hours from July to September, full time beginning of October), Leeds International Film Festival (1st – 16th November, part-time September and October, full time November) and Leeds Young Film Festival (Easter 2018, part time hours in March/April). On your application, please state which event(s) you are interested in working on and available for. It may be possible for a successful candidate to work on more than one event.
