Poet in Residence, Ilkley Literature Festival

lkley Literature Festival’s Poet in Residence role is an opportunity for a mid-career poet to showcase their work, play a key role in highlighting poetry’s importance at the Festival and help to develop our audience for poetry. They will have an opportunity to be involved in events, readings and workshops and meet other poets. Previous Poets in Residence have include Rommi Smith, Antony Dunn, John Siddique and Debjani Chatterjee.


The Festival is looking for an outstanding mid-career poet, based in the Northern region, who has already published or is in the process of publishing a collection, has experience of running workshops in schools or with community groups and of reading or performing their work.
