Salary: in the region of £46,000 (full time)

The Point, Eastleigh and its sister venue The Berry Theatre are home to a lively programme of theatre, dance, aerial and film. The Point with its unique Creation Space is a National Portfolio Organisation in the South West region, which has a national reputation for dance development and contemporary performance. The Berry Theatre is developing into an important regional centre for drama and new writing with a particular emphasis on new work for families. The theatres need a dynamic leader to deliver our artistic vision, support our Associate Artist programme, lead our creative learning team and support the wider creative Eastleigh agenda.

You will have a background in programming in a busy performing arts venue and a specialism in theatre, dance and contemporary performance would be an advantage. You will have knowledge of the UK creative industries and its key players and an understanding of UK/International contemporary arts practice and arts participation and will have a strong professional network. Experience of managing staff teams is essential, along with the ability to develop staff and to nurture talent. As the overseer of the Creating Learning team you will need a commitment to education and community arts development.

The successful applicant will be a strong communicator with entrepreneurial flair you will have proven financial and people management skills, be IT literate and administratively self-supporting.
