THE NEW WEBSITE

We are very pleased to announce that the new website is now live despite last minute technical hitches. It’s a complex site and the designers have worked very hard to get it built in a relatively short time, so please have a look and let us know what you think. http://www.ahsw.org.uk

We took the decision not to just transfer across the members’ database from the old site so that we could refine (and simplify) the registration process. However, this does mean that in order to keep receiving the ebulletins and other communications, you will need to re-join as a member on the new site.

Joining is now a 2 stage process which means that it is simple to become a member and receive the ebulletins; then if you choose, you can answer a few more questions and opt to be part of the searchable members’ directory. Click this link to go direct to the sign up page http://www.ahsw.org.uk/signup.aspx

Over the next few weeks we will be transferring and uploading useful information from the old site but if there is any specific information that you cannot find at the moment, please contact me.

ARTS & HEALTH SOUTH WEST AWARDS Celebrating inspirational arts and health work in the South West

The Arts & Health South West Awards are sponsored by the Fine Family Foundation.

There are 3 categories of Awards:

1. An arts and heath project delivered in the South West during 2011, submitted by a health organisation.

2. An arts and heath project delivered in the South West during 2011, submitted by an arts organisation.

3. An individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the field of arts and health in the South West during 2011

The Arts & Health South West Awards prizes for each category are:

* £4000 for a health organisation *

* £4000 for an arts organisation *

* £1000 for an individual *

Applications must refer to work all or partly delivered during 2011.

Applications must refer to work delivered in the South West region i.e. the counties of Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, the Isles of Scilly, Somerset and Wiltshire and the unitary authorities of Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Swindon, North Somerset, Bournemouth, Poole, Plymouth and Torbay.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on March 30th 2012.

We want the prize money to be a celebration of your achievements and there are no caveats attached to how the money can be spent. We would, of course, like it to be spent on more arts and health work but we won’t be checking up on you
