“Supple, layered rock with a taste for the epic. Pulsating electro shadings subtly counter the dazed guitar and transcendent lyric” - The Daily Mirror

Having started their gigging career supporting Mercury darlings Metronomy, Devon-based three-piece These Reigning Days have quickly established a reputation as a formidable live act. The words "epic" and "stadium sound" are often used to describe their performance. This Summer they release their second single ‘Living It Up’. Their first single “Changes” received glowing reviews and was play listed at regional, national and specialist radio stations across the UK. The single’s video was also play listed by music channel Q Music.

Fronted by the former lead singer/songwriter of The Quails, Dan Steer’s new band have been honing their brand of synth layered indie-rock with top producer Yoad Nevo (Pet Shop Boys, Duran Duran, Girls Aloud, Goldfrapp) as they work towards the release of their debut album later in 2012. Dan said, “It’s very different to anything I've done before. It combines a fusion of indie-rock with a subtle electro twist, but also with some deep and dark moments.”

Dan's innovative song writing, distinctive voice and charismatic stage presence helped achieve national success and widespread media acclaim as lead singer of The Quails, appearing at Glastonbury and Latitude’s BBC Radio 1 stage, in addition to supporting bands as varied as Muse, The Kooks and Newton Faulkner.

These Reigning Days were recently selected to showcase at Musexpo in Los Angeles. Conference organiser said “These Reigning Days were fantastic to say the least… the live show certainly was VERY IMPRESSIVE and songs sound great too.”

As a direct result of their great performance at Musexpo, the band now have singles coming out in Europe and Australia and music placements in major feature films.

With more UK dates to be announced and with support from BBC Introducing, These Reigning Days are already set to perform on the main stage at a number of festivals as well as a number of festival headlines in the South West.
