The Next Station Will Be…

Filmmaker/s wanted West Yorkshire Fee £4,250

Creative Scene, The Arts Council England's Creative People and Places project for West Yorkshire is looking for a filmmaker/s, and their collaborators, to produce a film for our Digital Dialogues programme.

We’re working in partnership with TransPennine Express, Northern Rail, their staff and passengers to create a short film that explores journeys, train lines, and people’s stories on the route between Huddersfield to Leeds. The film will be shown in a variety of locations, including our specially installed waiting room screening facility at Dewsbury train station; and will be seen by thousands of commuters and travellers on the route.

The successful applicant/s will have a socially engaged practice and be open to collaboration and dialogue with participants and audiences. They will have extensive experience in producing beautiful films, which capture and tell stories about people and places. They will be interested in ensuring their work is communicated to a wide audience, and will develop and present their work with this in mind, working with us to find new ways of presentation and to gather audience and participants feedback.

Applicants with experience in producing films for high profile and respected art and design projects, as well as experimental digital video artists, are strongly encouraged to apply.
