Join us for an Earth Dances Workshop in TOTNES on the 28th April, with outside time, finding our conversation with the earth...

Beltane is on her way, season of blossoming and unfurling our wings to fly towards summer's embrace. Open your heart, take off your shoes, embrace the miracle of being and lets dance!

Welcome in the warmth with an Earth Dances workshop exploring contemporary African dance and bringing ourselves fully into presence and vitality, inviting the possibility of being true. With live music from Omer Makessa, original choreography, non-stylised and environmental movement explorations and space for just being seen, let's meet the light with wholehearted body and celebrate being here together.

Beginning outside, finding our feet on the earth and the listening of our bodies, this workshop invites fullness within form, working with a traditional Zimbabwean dance, my latest contemporary African dance choreography and non-stylised movement explorations to wake our bodies into the springtime, finding our vitality and playfulness.

Earth Dances is an invitation to embrace our fullness in movement, stillness, celebration and rest. Grounded in traditional and contemporary African dance, non-stylised movement and Ki Aikido, the workshops explore rhythm, embodiment and connection with a sense of playful exploration, finding our common ground in fluidity around the rhythm and in gratitude for the gift of being alive!
