Wildlife heaven
This has been a really good year for encountering wildlife. I've been lucky to witness puffins, guillemots, razorbills and very tame rabbits on Skomer Island in Pembrokeshire. A wild hare in the Yorkshire Dales was another exciting encounter. I've just spent a week on Holy Island, which is teeming with wildlife, particularly seabirds. On a boat trip to the Farne Isles we came up close and personal with a colony of seals. You could hear their unearthly howling through the fog on Holy Island. Very atmospheric. I feel very privileged to have such encounters with wild animals. I took thousands of photos, a few of which will be made into prints and cards.
