Encounters at Renewable Energy Marketplace

Encounters at Renewable Energy Marketplace

A vase of daffodils, a bowl of nuts and two chairs invite perfect strangers to sit down together to tell a story from their own lives.

Visitors listen to tales of fear and of cold, of waves and of power, of fire and of change. In the Encounters compound we experience a change of mood and pace, there is a glow in this beautiful exchange.

All around people are visiting and networking at the different stands. After being at these types of events, people often go home to their lives and connections and conversations fade away. Regen South-west organiser Chloe Uden hopes that today will be different.

It certainly looks as though our participants are engaging with each other on a deeper level, lots of people are exchanging emails, and some have been chatting for ages, we think there is a good chance some will follow up.

Encounters “Tell a story “ activity and “Place –dreamer pod” with its comfy listening space and props to spark conversations around energy open up a space in which people can speak together in public about energy and their hopes for the future.

Don't we all long for the simple act of connection of sharing who we are ...?

But lets take it further, so that everyday we are talking to others about things that really matter to us and our planet.
