New Work: an exhibition of paintings by Mike Nuth

New Work: an exhibition of paintings by Mike Nuth

The human figure is Mike Nuth’s main concern, and to emphasize physicality his materials include paint, textiles and cement. The making of the images is often inspired by art from other cultures and the free and simple artistic activities of young children.

The potato heads with interchangeable features stuck into the amorphous potato shape to form a human face, and figures formed in blind sections in the game of consequences are instances of this.

Recent works include paintings, prints and cardboard constructions, and he will also show key works from earlier in his career.

Open 10 am - 5 pm, Tuesday - Saturday, and 10 am - 4 pm Sunday.

Admission free.
