2015 Festival Launch Concert - 26th March

Internationally-renowned pianist, Melvyn Tan, will be bringing his Fortepiano to Hatfield House and performing Beethoven’s variations on God Save the King, which he recorded on Beethoven’s own piano.

This work will be particularly fitting in the Marble Hall where the portrait of Queen Elizabeth I resides. Melvyn will be joined by our Artistic Director, Guy Johnston, and celebrated soprano, Ruby Hughes who will perform works by Bach, Haydn, Beethoven, and Schubert.

Afterwards, please join us for a drinks reception in the Armoury at which you will hear more about the programme of music and top-flight artists planned for the Hatfield House Chamber Music Festival this September.
