We are looking for an exceptional individual to drive the next stage of Hoot's development. You will be a creative dynamo with a passionate belief in the power of the arts to build personal resilience and change the way people think. You will have the skills to turn your creative vision into practical ideas that will secure funding and investment to change lives. You will have the capacity to inspire others with your ideas and direction, but also to consult and engage with people to build common ownership. You will be able to forge relationships with like-minded individuals, organisations and communities to build strong coalitions and partnerships for change.

Hoot was at the forefront of developing the arts and mental health agenda and is now one of the longest established and most successful arts and health organisations in the country. Working across a range of groups and communities including adults with mental health needs, older people, carers, in custodial and secure settings and the wider community, Hoot has developed its core values and approach to ensure the benefits of participating in the arts are widespread. After 17 years under the stewardship of its initial founders and directors, the organisation is now looking for new leadership to help it take the next step.

If you have a passion for innovative and creative thinking when it comes to the health of our communities and the power of the arts, substantial experience at a senior level in the third sector, an instinct for what makes people tick and a knack for making things happen, we'd love to hear from you.
