Halloween Tween Sketch Club

We’re kicking off our brand NEW Sketch Club with a Halloween special! This is perfect for those creative tweens who want to learn new techniques and improve their drawing skills.

Date: Wednesday 25th October
Time: 11am-12pm
Location: Mill Stream Studio, Hertford SG13 7JY (Opposite The Mill House, first floor)
Length of workshop: 1 hour
Suggested age: 8-12

During this jam packed session, you’ll draw spooky creatures such as bats, spiders and skeletons while learning basic drawing techniques and tips from Leila, a talented local Children’s book illustrator.

Leila will give you a refresher on lines, 2D shapes and 3D shapes which you may have learnt in maths! She’ll teach you how to make and use a grid to get proportions right, along with shading techniques to add contrast to your drawings.

This is a small workshop of 8 children, where each child will have 1-2-1 time. All materials will be provided, having said that you are welcome to bring your favourite colouring pencils or markers and your sketchbooks for critique.

You can leave your child during the session, just make sure you fill out the emergency contact section on the booking form.
