Project Manager, EXEtreme Imagination Literature Festival

This part-time post is available from 1 May 2012 on fixed term basis until 31 March 2013. The working hours will be 40% of full time for the first 5 months, then 60% of full time for the remaining 6 months.

The Graduate School of Education, on behalf of the EXEtreme imagination partnership, seeks to appoint a roject Manager to manage the organisation of EXEtreme imagination 2013 (a Children's Literature Festival) in February 2013 which will celebrate writing about childhood. The EXEtreme imagination Partnership was formed after the successful first Children's Literature Festival in 2010, and brings together arts organisations from across the city of Exeter. The post will be based on the Streatham campus of the University of Exeter.

We are looking for someone with high-level project management skills, and experience of organising events, such as arts or literary festivals. The post will involve co-ordinating the event with project partners, helping to shape the artistic programme. Acting as the liaison point between the project partners, you will manage all operational aspects of the festival including finances, people management, sponsorship, and office management.

The starting salary will be from £31,948 per annum pro rata on Grade F, depending on qualifications and experience.
