Artist in Residence Exhibition at Stevenage Library

Artist in Residence Exhibition at Stevenage Library

We have come to the end of our My Story Artist in Residence programme at Stevenage Library and we would love to invite you all to celebrate the work created and stories told at a special exhibition on Tuesday 12 December, 3-6pm.

The exhibition will celebrate the work of Katharine Harper and the creative journey she has taken during her residency. She has hosted a workshops in the library for a wide range of participants and showcased different skills. Her workshops have focused on a collaborative map of Stevenage that really champions the town and people’s memories of it.

There will also be work on show that was made during sessions with brilliant local art organisation, Open Art Box, who work with those affected by early stages of dementia and their families. Speeches will be at 5pm and there will be tea and coffee available throughout the event. "The heart of Stevenage is its people" and we'd love to see as many local creatives joining us at Stevenage Library to enjoy the artwork produced during this residency.

"Great way to reconnect adults with art and talk about Stevenage as a town."

"The work Katherine has done, and her passion has been an inspiration to many young and older alike."

There are many more Hertfordshire Libraries residencies planned for next year and further in the future. Find out more and how to get involved on our website.
