Hatfield Library Artist in Residence

Hatfield Library Artist in Residence

My Story is a community arts project in libraries around Hertfordshire. My Story has hosted artists in residence at Croxley Green and Stevenage Libraries, with generous funding from Arts Council England National Lottery Project Grant.

An exciting and inspiring residency is running at Hatfield Library with Hazel Russell. Hazel works primarily with mixed media and sustainability. Her workshops have focused on intuitive expression and having fun with art and aim to give people a chance to play. She has helped people create beautiful fabric landscapes of their favourite places, bright models of fireworks and given families creative, free activities to take home! These events have proved popular with the Hatfield community, and it’s been lovely to see so many families returning to take part in Hazel’s brilliant workshops. Free Christmas workshops will also take place in December.

Hazel's work, alongside work that has been produced in workshops, will be on display in the Library from Saturday 16 December until the end of January. To find out more check our website - https://www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/about-the-council/news/news-archive/artistinresidence-hatfield
