Bookbinding Master Class at Plymouth College of Art

Bookbinding Master Class at Plymouth College of Art

Tom O'Reilly, a professional craft bookbinder with 20 years experience, is offering a master class on the fascinating craft of bookmaking on Wednesday 15 February from 9:30am to 4pm.

During the day participants will make hand-crafted, clothbound sketchbooks or journals from scratch. No previous experience is required to join this introductory class.

Also an author, illustrator, journalist and publisher, Tom founded The Little Egret Press publishing company in 1994, which has now become highly successful, specialising in limited edition fishing publications. Tom binds high quality leather books for the Little Egret Press, and the Golden Hare Press, as well as a number of other publishing companies, and private clients. He also undertakes various bookbinding repair and restoration works, and creates commissioned books and bespoke bindings for artists, including work for the V&A and conservation bindings for the National Trust.

Places are limited, there are only 7 available so booking for the workshop is essential. To book phone 01752 203 434 or email infoservices@plymouthart.ac.uk
