TOPS Musical Productions are delighted to be presenting the Broadway and West End smash hit musical Hairspray at The Princess Theatre in October 2015.
This is a south west amateur premier of the stage musical written by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, which first received worldwide success with the 1988 film starring Ricki Lake and Deborah Harry with a remake in 2007 starring Nikki Blonsky, John Travolta and Michelle Pfeiffer.

TOPS Musical Productions has brought together two of their experienced performers to co-direct this show, Tracey Loveridge and Matt Brown who starred in the society’s last production of White Christmas. Both Tracey and Matt have appeared in many musicals in their stage careers, though Matt had to learn to tap dance for the first time extensively in White Christmas. Who better than choreographer and dance Tracey put him through his paces, in just six weeks Matt successfully mastered the art.
