Call out for Actor/Violinist

Male actor and experienced violinist required for promenade performance piece, Look Up!, with Proper Job Theatre Company.

Look Up! Is a Heritage Lottery funded project to be performed as part of the heritage weekend, 13th/14th September in Blackburn. Working with a group of young actors from Blackburn and Darwen, we have looked up above the shop fronts to unearth the historic stories encased in the buildings. The Look Up! project brings these stories to life in an exciting new production.

Person Specification:

• Playing age: 30 - 45
• Minimum Grade 8 Violin
• Ability to improvise musically
• Good movement skills/physically fit

Successful applicants will ideally have a Northern base as performances and rehearsals will take place in Blackburn. Auditions will be in Huddersfield.

Fee: £400, equal to 4 days worth of work. Inclusive of all travel and accommodation expenses.

Important dates:

• Closing date for applications: Monday 1st September at 5pm.
• Audition: Thursday 4th September
• Rehearsal: Thursday 11th and Friday 12th September
• Performances: Saturday 13th September and Sunday 14th September
