Lab Recruitment Officer

About Proper Job Theatre
We are a theatre company based in the North of England creating and touring new work, producing large-scale theatre events whilst supporting and nurturing individuals from the local community and across Yorkshire and the North West. At Proper Job we are passionate about continuously developing projects that excite us, fire our curiosity and expand our imagination.

Purpose of the Role
Proper Job also delivers on a number of educational theatre projects, most regularly the LAB Project. These projects normally stipulate a specific type of learner, for example in relation to age, postcode, benefits etc. We are looking for a recruitment officer who is happy to work across a number of northern regions to ensure we are able to access as many learners as possible to benefit from our courses, primarily the LAB Project.

The LAB Project is a two-week intensive program, which helps engage the long term unemployed with the possibility of training or employment. We also regularly work with learners who suffer from mild to moderate mental health issues. The Project currently runs in Manchester, Kirklees and Doncaster and we aim for a minimum of 18 learners per project. We do this by working with the Job Centre, building relationships with a number of organisations that work with similar learners and speaking with ex participants to recommend our course. We are always open to new possibilities.

Please take a look at our website for more information on the LAB Project:
