Torquay Workhub? Focus Group for freelancers/home workers

Do you work for yourself from home in the Torbay/Teignbridge/South Hams area? Ever wished you had access to a decent meeting place, somewhere to collaborate/network with people who work the same way that you do?

The TDA is exploring the possibility of 'workhubs' in each of the towns in Torbay - a club for home-based businesses and modern freelancers to share facilities and get the kind of business services that just aren't easy to find at home.

Following a successful focus group with Brixham and Paignton home workers, Torbay Development Agency is holding a similar event in Torquay to discuss the Workhubs project and get feedback from home workers and home based businesses in Torquay and the surrounding areas.

The TDA has asked the Workhubs Network to give a short presentation on how workhubs operate in other parts of the country and to answer all your questions. They will also want to ask you what you think should be delivered in Torquay. Other workhubs across the country have a large creative industries presence as it is an ideal environment for collaboration and idea sharing, as well as generating business opportunities.

Please note that this event is open to anyone in Torbay and the surrounding area, not just for those based in Torquay, although it will primarily discuss options for a Torquay workhub. If you missed the Brixham event but are interested in the concept of workhubs, please come along to our Torquay focus group.
