Torquay Academy Students' Prints on Show in the Spanish Barn

Earlier this year, students from Torquay Academy took part in a series of 6 printmaking workshops in Torre Abbey's Learning Lab. The workshops were led by Simon Ripley from Double Elephant Prinmakers who showed the students a whole range of techniques from monoprinting through collagraph to drypoint, making full use of the Learning Lab's brand new printing press.

A selection of prints made by this wonderful and very focused group of young people will be on show in a free exhibition in the Spanish Barn during School's Art Week (from Friday 20 to Mon 23 March 2015).

All are welcome, so please come along and view the fantastic prints made by this group.

These free printmaking sessions were produced by Smooth Space Artist-led Initiative and funded by the Big Lottery through Awards for All.
